Phishing links: how to always reach the real Velxen: Velxen blog cover with a shield with a padlock in amber on a dark background

A phishing site looks exactly like a real one but lives at a different address. You type your password, and the scammer gets it.

The only addresses that are Velxen

  • velxen.com (and pages under it, such as velxen.com/p2p)
  • The official Velxen app, from the download links on velxen.com

Anything else, such as velxen-support.com, velxen.co or a link with extra words, is not us.

Checking a link

  • Look at the address bar, not the page design. Designs are easy to copy.
  • Watch for swapped letters (like "vexlen" or "veIxen" with a capital I).
  • Do not follow links in unexpected emails, SMS or direct messages. Type velxen.com yourself or use a bookmark.
  • Ads in search results can be fake too. Prefer the bookmark.

If you entered your details on a fake site

  1. Change your Velxen password straight away from the real site.
  2. Make sure two-factor authentication is on, and reset it if you typed a code on the fake site.
  3. Change the password of your email account too, especially if it was the same.
  4. Contact us so we can watch your account.

Two-factor authentication is your safety net: even with your password, a scammer still needs the code from your phone.
