How to create a strong password you can remember
Most hacked accounts use weak or reused passwords. A strong password does not need to be impossible to remember; it needs to be long and unique.
Length beats complexity
"Tr0ub4dor!" is short and hard to remember. "river-orange-candle-seventeen" is long, easy to remember and far harder to guess. Every extra word multiplies the work for an attacker.
One account, one password
If you use the same password everywhere, one leak from any website opens all your accounts. Your exchange and your email deserve passwords you use nowhere else.
Use a password manager
A password manager creates and remembers a different strong password for every site. You remember one master passphrase. Most phones now include one built in.
Protect your email first
Your email can reset other passwords. Give it a strong, unique password and turn on two-factor authentication there too.
Add 2FA everywhere
Even a perfect password can be phished. Two-factor authentication on your Velxen profile means a stolen password alone is not enough.
Never share it
Velxen staff will never ask for your password, your 2FA codes or your backup codes, by phone, email or chat.
