Seven rules for safe P2P trading: Velxen blog cover with two people exchanging USDT in amber on a dark background

P2P on Velxen is protected by escrow, but good habits make it even safer. Follow these seven rules on every order.

  1. Stay on the platform. Keep every message in the order chat. If someone asks you to continue on WhatsApp or Telegram, decline.
  2. Pay from your own account. Buyers should pay from a bank account in their own name, matching their Velxen name.
  3. Check your real bank balance. Sellers: never release because of a screenshot, SMS or email alert. Open your banking app.
  4. No crypto words in transfer notes. Leave the narration empty or use the order number only.
  5. Respect the timer. Pay within the time on the order. If you cannot, cancel before paying, not after.
  6. Never cancel after paying. If the seller asks you to cancel after you have paid, refuse and open an appeal.
  7. Use appeals, not arguments. If anything looks wrong, open an appeal from the order. Our team sees the chat and the escrow.

Choosing a good counterparty

Look at the number of completed orders and the completion rate on each advert. New accounts are not always bad, but experienced traders with a long history are usually smoother.
